| المستخلص: | The aim of this paper is to shed some light on the current obstacles to Moroccan women's political participation as an example of gender inequality in Arab local politics. The paper will explore the diverse obstacles and challenges that Moroccan women face when they attempt to participate in politics, especially after the reforms of the 2011 Constitution. The political structure of Morocco, like many countries in the Arab world, continues to assume a patriarchal model. The paper examines the reasons why Moroccan women continue to have a weak participation in politics, and to highlight the major factors behind this disparity or inequality in the political field. |
