| المستخلص: | The purpose of this article is to identify the main determinants of the real exchange rate in Algeria covering the period from 1970 to 2016. For this purpose, we used the techniques of cointegration to look for a longterm relationship between the exchange rate and the fundamentals of the Algerian economy. Referring to the empirical analysis, our results show that investment, development of the banking system and trade openness are very important to explain Algeria's real exchange rate. Le but de cet article est d’identifier les principaux déterminants du taux change réel en Algérie couvrant la période de 1970 à 2016. Pour cette fin, nous avons utilisé les techniques de la cointégration pour chercher s’il existe une relation de long terme entre le taux de change et les éléments fondamentaux de l’économie algérienne. En se référant à l’analyse empirique, nos résultats montrent que l’investissement, le développement du système bancaire et l’ouverture commerciale sont très importants pour expliquer le taux de change réel de l'Algérie. |
