| المستخلص: | The decline of interest in the Palestinian issue is of three dimensions: Palestinian, Arab and Israeli. The present study basically explores the first one and its relation to the other two. Internal political and factional disputes- boosted by Arab and international parties- have weakened the Palestinian role, which sees the conflict a pan- Arab one in the first place. These groups work against each other and sometimes take some sides, which prolongs the occupation. The problem is escalated by the complete failure of renewing the revolutionary framework at the levels both of the Palestine Liberation Organization, which has aged and whose institutions have been neutralized, and the various factions. In a order to enhance the Palestinian potential to shift and accommodate, a new beginning needs to be launched. Thus, the following approaches are recommended: 1. Immediate ending of the dispute between Hamas and Fateh as well as between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, based on the simple criteria of reviving and uniting the PA in a political partnership to prepare for a general election within two years: Renewing the youth and revolutionary spirits in the Palestinian factions, mainly in Hamas and Fateh, by means of special organizational elections Ending all personal, factional and partisan disputes for the sake of the issue and people, preventing any foreign interference to impose any type of policy or leadership on the people Agreeing on launching a civil intifada in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, against the occupation and facilitating all the factors for success Working together to revive the PLO, and forming a capable temporary leadership framework to meet regularly in a bid to lead the Palestinian national struggle Setting the features of the joint Palestinian national project, aimed at ending the occupation and the return of refugees in accordance with the Palestinian version and rights. |
