| المستخلص: | The research investigates the ability of using origami art (the traditional Japanese art of paper folding) in fashion design and clothing through employing its techniques and tools to implement female wearable garments. The research focuses on the use of origami art to the whole garment instead of combing a separate origami part to separate predesigned dress. Origami art basically depends on the idea of continuum of the prime unit during forming the pattern without gluing or cutting to generate final shapes of animals or birds. So the final origami wearable garment will be achieved through the same methodology using the origami folding instructions and shapes illustrated in the different references. The fabric used will be chosen according to its flexibility and folding ability. The suggested shapes are to be the simplest and the most suitable shapes for female dresses such as crane, fish, frog, and penguin. |
